We
have tried to make this site as easy to use as possible, by avoiding
complicated layouts and fancy graphics which make downloading slow.
There are two main ways to find your way around the site:
1.
On each page you will find the navigation bar with coloured buttons
at the top, which will allow you to get from any of the main parts of
the site to any other in a single click. These buttons take you to the
following:-
This
is the first page you come to, and briefly describes what you
can do on the site and suggests that you go to the Guide to the
Site page.
This
explains the geographical area covered by the Trade Union Studies
Centre, the range of courses we run and lists the people in the
Trade Union Studies team.
This
describes the teaching methods we use on the courses, and the
principles of mutual respect, co-operation and the sharing of
experience and ideas which are fundamental to TUC Education.
This
tells you how to contact us by post, telephone, fax and e-mail.
This
is the gateway to details of all the courses on offer in the current
and following term, by title, venue, date, and summary of content.
There is also a link to the Course Application Form page.
This
allows you to print off a course application form and send it
in to us. The reason you cannot complete a form online is that
you need to have it countersigned by a union official.
This
answers many commonly asked general questions about courses, teaching
methods etc. If you don't find the answer to your question here,
please don't hesitate to contact us. |
This
provides links to various trade union related websites, grouped
by topic.
2.
You can use the site search box located at the bottom of the Home
Page. This allows you to search for information on the site by using
single words or phrases. To get the most out of this facility, have
a look at the Search Tips page before
using it.
We
would be very grateful for your comments on how easy you find the site
to use, and for any suggestions you may have about how it could be improved.
